How it prices: Base price by oven type — a full strip-down clean with racks and trays through a dip tank, door glass in — multiplied for your area, with the hob, extractor and microwave priced as add-ons at booking. Treat the output as a starting band, not gospel — gather 15–30 local price points before you commit to a number.

What professional oven cleaning costs in the UK in 2026

A single oven is typically £45–£60, a double oven £65–£85, range cookers £90–£120 and an Aga or Rayburn £100–£140. A proper clean strips the oven down: racks and trays through a dip tank, door glass separated and cleaned, fan and element degreased — around 1.5–2 hours for a double oven.

The hob (£12–£20), extractor and filters (£15–£25) and microwave (£12–£18) are standard add-ons, usually agreed when booking rather than on the day.

If you're the one with the dip tank in the van

Oven cleaning is a density trade: at £72 a double oven and add-ons on most jobs, three to four jobs a day in a tight patch clears more than most people expect — but only if the diary is full and travel is short. Pricing discipline matters because the market anchor is well known; the win is add-on take-rate and repeat bookings every 9–12 months, not a higher headline.

The full method — kit list, the dip-tank setup, booking scripts, the reminder cycle — is in The Oven Cleaning Works, £47.

Pricing questions, answered plainly

How much does professional oven cleaning cost in the UK?

A single oven is £45–£60 and a double oven £65–£85 in 2026. Range cookers run £90–£120 and Aga or Rayburn cookers £100–£140. Hob, extractor and microwave are usually £12–£25 each as add-ons.

How long does a professional oven clean take?

About 1–1.5 hours for a single oven and 1.5–2 hours for a double, using a dip tank in the van for racks and trays while the oven interior is cleaned in place.

How often should an oven be professionally cleaned?

Every 9–12 months for a family kitchen in regular use. Many operators run a reminder list and rebook the same customers annually — it is the core of a stable round.

What should an oven cleaner charge for an Aga?

£100–£140 is the typical 2026 band. Agas are priced above range cookers because they are cleaned warm, take longer, and the lids and plates need specialist care.
